From Indiana University, I earned an Associate of Science degree in Applied Business Studies, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (with honors), and a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education. In 2014, I earned an administrator license from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am a member of Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a professional honorary society of women educators, and Galveston United Methodist Church. My teaching career at Northwestern High School began in 2003. I love my job and specifically enjoy teaching poetry, the writing process, and Shakespeare's plays. Currently, I teach AP English Language & Composition and English 10. In addition, I am the sponsor of National Honor Society. I am married to Brad Miller, and we have two adult children. Our son Brett is an project engineer with Performance Contracting, Inc. out of Carmel, Indiana, and our daughter Brielle is currently attending Ball State University. I enjoy spending my free time camping and boating with my family, relaxing with a good book, and playing with my two rescue dogs, Sadie and Bella.
